Privacy at Clearness
Clearness is designed to help people reflect on what is occupying their thoughts and see possible patterns more clearly. We believe that a service intended to create clarity should also be clear about how information is handled. This Privacy Policy explains the information Clearness receives, how it is used, and the choices available to you when you use clearness.pro and the Clearness service.
Information You Provide
When you use Clearness, you may submit written text describing a question, concern, situation, thought, or other subject you would like Clearness to consider. You choose what to submit and should avoid including information that you do not want processed by the service. If you choose features such as emailing yourself a copy of an insight, you may also provide an email address or other information necessary to perform the requested action.
How Clearness Uses Your Information
Information you submit is used to provide the Clearness service, including generating the requested insight, operating requested features, maintaining the reliability and security of the service, enforcing usage limits, and understanding whether Clearness is useful to its users. Clearness does not sell your personal information.
AI Processing
Clearness uses artificial intelligence services to analyze the text you submit and generate a response. This means the text required to generate your insight is transmitted to an AI service provider for processing. AI-generated responses can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for a particular situation and should be considered thoughtfully rather than treated as authoritative professional advice.
Usage and Technical Information
Clearness may collect limited technical and usage information needed to operate and improve the service. This can include session identifiers, usage-control information, timestamps, and events such as starting or completing an insight, selecting feedback, copying an insight, downloading a PDF, emailing a copy, or using a sharing feature. Clearness may use one-way hashing or similar techniques where appropriate to enforce service limits without unnecessarily retaining the original identifying value.
Email and Communications
If you ask Clearness to email an insight or otherwise send you a requested communication, the information necessary to deliver that message may be processed by our email service provider. Providing an email address for such a feature does not by itself enroll you in marketing communications.
Service Providers
Clearness relies on third-party technology providers to operate portions of the service, including website and server infrastructure, artificial intelligence processing, email delivery, domain and internet services, and related technical functions. These providers may process information as necessary to perform services for Clearness and are governed by their own terms, privacy practices, and applicable agreements.
Data Retention
Clearness retains operational and usage information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, evaluate, and improve the service or to meet legal obligations. Retention periods may vary according to the type and purpose of the information. We aim to avoid retaining personal information when it is no longer reasonably needed.
Security
Clearness uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information handled by the service. Sensitive service credentials are maintained separately from publicly delivered website code. However, no internet service or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
You control the information you choose to submit to Clearness. You may choose not to provide personal or sensitive information and may stop using the service at any time. Where applicable, you may contact Clearness regarding questions or requests concerning information associated with you.
Children’s Privacy
Clearness is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected in circumstances requiring its removal, we will take reasonable steps to address it.
Changes to This Policy
Clearness may update this Privacy Policy as the service develops, its practices change, or legal and operational requirements evolve. When the policy is materially revised, the effective date displayed on this page will be updated. Continued use of Clearness after an updated policy becomes effective means that the updated policy will apply to subsequent use of the service.
